Selamat Datang ke Kuala Lumpur!
Day one of your Redang Island package. Welcome to KL. Your driver and guide meet you at arrivals, and instead of heading straight into the city, you ease in with a scenic drive through Putrajaya: elegant bridges, lakeside views of the Putra Mosque, and a coffee stop if energy allows.

Your city address is The RuMa Hotel & Residences, a five-star retreat in KLCC with Petronas Tower views, where traditional Malay design meets contemporary comfort. The rest of the day is yours: rest, take a walk, adjust to the time zone. We are always happy to recommend or reserve dinner nearby.
Arriving early? We recommend requesting early check-in; everything today flexes around your flight.
Petronas Towers & the Stories of Chinatown
After breakfast, the icons: timed tickets for the Petronas Towers carry you past the queues to the Skybridge and the observation deck, the whole city laid out at your feet. Then back down to street level, where Kuala Lumpur keeps its older stories.

In Chinatown, your guide leads you through Petaling Street and the beautifully restored Central Market, past the incense coils of the Sri Mahamariamman temple and the old Guan Di temple next door. Midway, a proper kopitiam stop: kaya toast, soft eggs and coffee the way this city has drunk it for a century.
The afternoon is yours. Linger in Chinatown’s cafes and street art lanes, or let us arrange sunset at the KL Tower deck or a rooftop table as the twin towers light up. Dinner suggestions are in your notes.

Batu Caves & an Afternoon at Leisure
The morning belongs to Batu Caves: Malaysia’s most important Hindu sanctuary, where a golden 42-metre Lord Murugan guards 272 rainbow steps up to temples hidden in the limestone. Your private guide brings the site’s stories and the Thaipusam festival to life.

Back in the city, the rest of the day is entirely yours: the pool, a spa, the boutiques of Bukit Bintang. For a final city evening with real occasion, let us reserve Dewakan: Malaysia’s only two-Michelin-star table, high on the 48th floor above KLCC, where chef Darren Teoh builds a single tasting menu from indigenous Malaysian ingredients, many fermented or dry-aged in-house. Allow a full evening; reservations are essential and we will secure yours.
A Direct Flight to Paradise
One last city breakfast, then the escape begins: airport transfer, lounge access, priority boarding, and the resort’s own flight straight to Redang Island, no ferries, no queues, just turquoise water rising to meet you.
Redang is powdery white sand, coral reefs and jungle-clad hills. The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort sits on its own private bay; you’ll stay five nights in a Garden Suite with half-board dining, international buffets at Asean All Day Dining, open-air Italian at MareNero.
A welcome drink and canapés by the sea at sunset mark the formal beginning of island time.

Swimming with Sea Turtles
This morning, join the resort team for the island’s most beloved encounter: snorkeling the nearby waters where sea turtles graze, unbothered and graceful. Beginner or seasoned snorkeler, it’s pure magic.
The afternoon is beach time in its purest form, palms, warm sand, turquoise shallows, or a treatment at the resort spa if you prefer your relaxation horizontal and scented.
Feeling curious? Wander into the village beyond the resort: friendly locals, roaming chickens and goats, and humble seafood shacks with very good food.

Island Day, or Kuala Terengganu by Boat
Today can be nothing at all, and we fully support that. Or make it a cultural adventure on your own terms: the resort’s boat is yours to hire, and forty to sixty minutes across the water lies Kuala Terengganu, the East Coast’s most traditional Malay city.

A coastal drive through fishing villages brings you to Chinatown’s unique long-roof shophouses, the buzzing Central Market, Princess Hill and the Waterfront, and the State Museum, the largest in Southeast Asia, famed for its traditional timber palaces.
The architectural jewels are the Crystal Mosque, all glass and steel shimmer, and the Floating Mosque poised over the river; on Duyung Island, craftsmen still build wooden fishing boats by hand. Lunch is nasi kerabu, herb-flecked blue rice, bold and delicious, before the boat carries you back to your bay. For boat rates and arrangements, simply contact us and we will set it up.

Island Day, or the Perhentians by Boat
Another beach day, or our favorite way to roam: hire the resort’s boat and go island-hopping to Lang Tengah and the Perhentians, entirely at your own pace.

First stop, Lang Tengah: Batu Bulan (Moon Rock), a shallow sandy bay whose reef slopes gently from 5 to 20 metres, then the clear waters of Karang Nibong where nurse sharks, white-tips and big rays drift the reef.
Then it’s about an hour by boat to the Perhentians and famous Long Beach: soft sand, a local island lunch, and a finale of snorkeling at Fish Point and Shark Point, where baby blacktip reef sharks cruise the shallows. Home across the water as the light softens. For boat rates and arrangements, just contact us.
A Perfect Beach Day
No plans today, that’s the plan. The Taaras’ private bay, a shoreline walk, a book under the palms.
If you’d like one meaningful stop, visit the resort’s sea turtle conservation project to learn how the island protects its most beloved residents.
As evening falls, a candlelit dinner by the beach, the refined, unhurried close to your island days.

Farewell to Redang
One last beachfront breakfast to the sound of the waves. If you’re up early, the short hike to Eagle Point rewards with the island’s best view.
Then the flight back to Kuala Lumpur, and if you’re not ready to stop, the West Coast or Borneo pair beautifully with what you’ve just done. We’ll shape it with you.
