Rather than heading directly to the city, you’ll enjoy a leisurely scenic drive through Putrajaya, Malaysia’s beautifully designed administrative capital. This peaceful city is known for its elegant bridges, impressive modern architecture, and lush, green surroundings. Depending on your energy level, you might enjoy a relaxing stop for coffee or tea by the lake, while taking in the views of the Putra Mosque and the surrounding landscape. This short detour offers a gentle and beautiful introduction to the country.
Afterwards, you’ll continue on to Kuala Lumpur, where you’ll check into the luxurious RuMa Hotel and Residences. Learn about the sanctuary’s efforts to rehabilitate and protect this endangered species and enjoy the rare opportunity to see these fascinating creatures up close in a natural habitat.
You will reach Penang through a 15 miles bridge, a real engineering marvel. As you arrive in the historic Georgetown, you will be transported back in time and find yourself in a British colonial port city from 1840s. Georgetown is recognized by UNESCO World Heritage title for being an exceptional example of a multicultural trading town in Southeast Asia, forged from the mercantile and civilization exchanges of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European influences and features the most and the best restored Malaysian shophouses in the country. Penang is also crowned as the food capital of Malaysia, so be prepared to eat a lot!
